Kapil Bareja is a strategist, thought Leader and Speaker. His career spans 17+ years while working for companies from the Fortune 100 to a startup firm. Kapil's strengths include strategic leadership in security products and services - focusing on market strategy, roadmap development and execution, process optimization, and bringing teams together to solve complex problems. He has strong experience in various disciplines of Information Security specializing in Identity and Access Management, Governance, Cyber Risk, Network and Cloud based security solutions. Kapil is serving as member of The Technical Governance Board (TGB) that is responsible for governing the technical design, architecture, implementation, and operation of the Sovrin Network as a global public utility for self-sovereign identity.

He is also serving on the Advisory board for VigiTrust focused around corporate strategic goals and Integrated Risk Management SaaS solutions. Additionally, Kapil serves as contributor and an advisor member of various industry foundations: the Decentralized Identity Foundation, Kantara, Cloud Native Computing Foundation, the Open Identity Exchange, and the international not-for-profit clearinghouse for Internet trust frameworks. Kapil's career is about more than being a recognizable expert - it's continually challenging accepted thinking and bringing people together to solve complex problems in innovative ways.
