About the IAPP

Gabe Menard is a Senior Policy and Research Analyst at the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC). He is the OPC policy lead on de-identification, biometrics, and facial recognition, and chairs the Emerging Technologies Working Group of the G7 data protection authorities. Before entering the public service, Gabe worked and studied at the University of Toronto, where he conducted research at the intersection of policy, society, and digital technology.
