Joanna is an Associate at New Law Department of PricewaterhouseCoopers Spain where she advises on privacy, data protection and information technology law matters to EU based and international clients across a spectrum of industries, including financial, insurance, tech and health services. Prior to this role, Joanna worked at top-tier Spanish law firms in privacy and information technology law matters and served as an in-house counsel for a world leading software company in the travel industry.



Joanna earned her Master of Law (LL.M) in Intellectual Property and New Technologies Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid, as well as her title of Expert in Data Protection and Cybersecurity from the IE Law School. She holds the IAPP’s CIPP/E and CIPP/US Certifications, as well as CDPP Certification from ISMS Forum Spain and Lead ISO 27701 Implementer from AENOR.



Building on her background in software company she advises on emerging technical privacy solutions and complex data privacy initiatives and issues, including national and international privacy law compliance, privacy by design, privacy program governance, privacy program assessment, policy implementation, vendor management, international data transfers and data breach response and management.



Law and data protection enthusiast with “one-world” global mindset, she believes that privacy should be seen as a business enabler that fosters trust and enables the company's growth.



Joanna is also an expert in intellectual property and TMT law matters.
