About the IAPP

Elaine Critides is a senior counsel with over 20 years of experience working with high-tech and Fortune 50 companies. She has spent many years as in-house counsel, which has given her hands-on experience counselling clients on how to comply with the intricate and evolving web of federal, state and international regulations that apply to globally integrated companies.

Since 2018, she has spent countless hours working with clients on implementing robust compliance structures to meet emerging privacy and security regulations such as GDPR, CCPA and NIST CFS. Elaine concentrates on advising clients on managing and mitigating regulatory and litigation risks. Her areas of focus include providing audit and compliance advice in response to regulatory audits and investigations. In addition to her skills at governing internal investigations, she is an experienced advocate before state and federal regulatory bodies.
