Marcelo Crespo is a Brazilian attorney and professor specializing in digital law, privacy, data protection, artificial intelligence governance, and technology-related crimes. He is the Coordinator of the Law Program at ESPM University in São Paulo, where he leads academic initiatives focused on innovation, responsible technology, and interdisciplinary legal education. Marcelo is a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) and a Certified Data Protection Officer for Brazil (CDPO/BR) by the IAPP. 

With more than 15 years of experience, he has advised companies in multiple sectors on LGPD compliance, information security culture, AI governance, and crisis management related to digital incidents. He has led or supervised over 450 data-protection compliance projects, supporting organizations in building resilient privacy programs and aligning legal, technical, and governance perspectives.

He is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and has authored books and academic articles on digital law, privacy, ethics, and emerging technologies.

Passionate about education and public debate, Marcelo works to strengthen responsible innovation in Brazil and to connect legal practice with real-world technological challenges. His mission is to help organizations and professionals navigate digital transformation with ethics, strategy, and long-term vision.
