About the IAPP

In his role as general counsel at Linode, Peter Fu oversees Linode's regulatory compliance, transactional, and risk management operations. Appointed due to his unique multidisciplinary approach to problem solving, Fu is now one of the youngest corporate legal officers in the industry. According to Fu, "customer advocacy is the key to navigating the ever changing laws and practices governing the cloud market." Fu's leadership has resulted in the incorporation of privacy and user alignment throughout the product life cycle, "empowering customers with the tools to make meaningful decisions and ensuring that Linode technologies and policies consistently promote openness, transparency, and ease of use." While away from the office, Fu serves as a volunteer firefighter and is an elected council member for his hometown of Wenonah, New Jersey, where he lives with his wonderful wife Sarah and their daughter Natalie.
