About the IAPP

Natasha Mazey PhD is the group Privacy Officer at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, a medical device and systems provider committed to care and innovation, delivering inspired world-leading healthcare solutions in 120 countries. Natasha provides strategic and operational advice to all parts of the business and is responsible for developing and delivering the group privacy program. Previously, Natasha was a privacy and data protection consultant.

Natasha believes privacy is an essential public good for society. As a privacy practitioner, Natasha focusses on implementing privacy by design by engineering privacy into technical and organisational processes and controls. She thrives on the complexities of designing privacy conscious solutions in an innovative global environment in a cross functional role, and building awareness about the importance, and implications, of privacy with those she works with.

Natasha holds an Information Systems doctorate. Her academic interests are in the psychological impacts of technology design and people relationships on trust and privacy beliefs, and how these inform human intent and behavior over time. Natasha continues to be involved in academia in her spare time and is keen to maintain strong relationships between academia and industry to leverage their combined insights and learnings.
