About the IAPP

Oliver Schmidt is a member of Bird & Bird’s Privacy and Data Protection Practice Group. As a lawyer specialising in technology, digital media and IT, he has a particular focus on data protection matters. He advises national and international clients on a range of international data compliance projects, including the implementation of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) strategies, international data transfers and local data protection compliance. Oliver Schmidt also advises on IT law, e-commerce and all legal issues in connection with Internet-based business models or matters relating to new business areas, such as IoT, social media and Blockchain.
