The IAPP Privacy Leadership Award

Congratulations to our 2016 IAPP Leadership Award winners!

In recognition of their groundbreaking book, Privacy on the Ground: Driving Corporate Behavior in the United States and Europe—which delivers an unprecedented look at how privacy is done at both large and small organizations around the world—this year’s IAPP Privacy Leadership Award was given to Kenneth Bamberger and Deidre Mulligan.

Presented this year at the 2016 IAPP Global Privacy Summit by JoAnn Stonier, Executive Vice President, Information Governance and Chief Privacy Officer at MasterCard Worldwide and Vice Chair of the IAPP Board of Directors, the annual Leadership Award is given in recognition of an ongoing commitment to furthering privacy policy, promoting recognition of privacy issues and advancing the growth and visibility of the privacy profession.

Bamberger and Mulligan join an esteemed list of past winners, including: last year’s recipient, Peter Swire, CIPP/US, a professor at Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business; Julie Brill, former U.S. Federal Trade Commissioner; Daniel Weitzner, Director and Co-founder of the MIT CSAIL Decentralized Information Group, and a host of others.

Please join us in congratulating these two outstanding privacy leaders, and visit our website if you’d like to read more about them and this year’s award presentation.
