Welcome, speakers

Thank you for contributing to the IAPP Canada Privacy Symposium 2025. To help ensure the success of your session, please see these important instructions.

Marc Laferriere

Marc Laferriere, programming and speaker coordinator, will be your main contact at the IAPP during the event life cycle. Please reach out to Marc if you have any questions.

Conference venue: Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, 123 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON, Canada, M5H 2M9. Tel: +1 416.361.1000.

Speaker registration: You will automatically be awarded a complimentary pass to the event and registered as a speaker by IAPP staff. Your conference pass is eligible for all programming and events happening on Monday and Tuesday, 12-13 May. If you are speaking on a workshop, your pass will include your workshop on 11 May. If you would like to add a training or workshop to your registration (additional cost), please contact Marc Laferriere at mlaferriere@iapp.org.

Dietary accommodations: Should you require a special diet, please contact speaker coordinator Marc at mlaferriere@iapp.org to indicate your needs before 23 April. Choices are: dairy-free, gluten-free, kosher, vegan, Halal or vegetarian.

Speaker presentation template: All speakers using a presentation must download and use the IAPP Canada Privacy Symposium 2025 PowerPoint template.

 

Important deadlines

Due now: Check the online schedule to see your session date and time.

Due now: Send us your headshot and a brief biography if we do not already have this on file.

19 March: Attend the speaker orientation web conference. You will receive an invitation with additional details from Marc.

21 March: Deadline for initial panel planning calls with your co-panelists and chairperson.

4 April: Send draft presentations to your chair and speaker coordinator.

2 May: Final presentation due to your chair and speaker coordinator.

Additional programming information
Need to make a change to speakers, panelists or presentation content? It is important to run it by us. Changes must be approved by IAPP to uphold the quality of our agenda and keep our publications current. Please contact Marc immediately if you need to make adjustments.

Speaker workroom

This space is just for speakers — your home away from home. Meet with your panel, grab a coffee and a snack, or work quietly if that is what you need.

The workroom is available during the following hours in Birchwood Ballroom:

Monday, 12 May, 08:00-18:00
Tuesday, 13 May, 08:00-15:30
