About the IAPP

Lyric Kaplan is Senior Legal Counsel, AI and Privacy at Adobe, where she supports Firefly, Adobe’s suite of generative AI products, and AI integrations across Creative Cloud and Document Cloud consumer and enterprise product offerings. She helps Adobe product and engineering teams innovate responsibly while navigating complex global frameworks, including the EU AI Act and emerging U.S. AI and privacy laws, embedding principles of privacy, safety, fairness, and accountability into product design.

Previously, Lyric served as Lead AI Product Counsel at Snap Inc., advising on the company’s generative AI products and applied machine learning teams, while helping shape Snap’s approach to AI safety and fairness. She also co-authored Snap’s AI Governance Principles, and developed its biometric consent and compliance frameworks.

Lyric is also a Co-Founder of Naxos Labs, a boutique AI consulting firm that helps organizations build ethical and compliant AI strategies, and serves on the Board of AI League for Good, advising technology leaders on responsible AI practices and international compliance with AI and privacy laws.
