About the IAPP

I am the Global Head of Privacy at Prudential, with a career spanning regulatory, corporate, academic, and diplomatic domains. Recipient of the IAPP Vanguard Award (Asia) and named among the Top 10 Guardians of the Cyber Space by The Cyber Express. Former roles include Adjunct Associate Professor at NUS Law, Senior Counsel for Data Privacy & Cybersecurity at TikTok, and Head of Investigations at Singapore’s PDPC. I also serve as Honorary Consul of Bulgaria to Singapore, fostering bilateral collaboration on digital policy, data protection, and AI. As Adjunct Lecturer at SMU Law, I co-developed and teach Privacy & Data Protection Law with AI components. I sit on boards including the Cyber Express Advisory Board, 20Minds Editorial Board, and CEEC. A Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), I serve on the IAPP Asia Advisory Board and CIPP-A Exam Development Board. I contributed to national initiatives such as PDPC’s Data Protection Trustmark, MAS AI Working Group, and advised MOH on the Health Information Bill, while supporting PET projects in Singapore and the Philippines. I co-authored Data Protection Law in Singapore and Privacy and Personal Data Protection Law in Asia, published in peer-reviewed journals, and spoken at global forums including IAPP Asia Privacy Forum (2016–2025) and Singapore International Cybersecurity Week. My academic credentials include an LLM from UC Berkeley, MSc from Oxford, and a Certificate in Copyright Law from Harvard.
