Kiley Seymour

Associate Professor Kiley Seymour is an international expert in neuroscience and behaviour. Her research examines the effects of technology on human behaviour and brain function with a particular focus on neurotechnology and mental privacy. Her research pioneered the use of machine learning algorithms to decode mental states – now a common method in cognitive neuroscience. She is an executive member of the Australian chapter of the International Organization for Human Brain Mapping and advocates for the ethical and responsible governance of brain data and the development of technology with privacy embedded into its design.
