About the IAPP

Josh is Corporate Counsel, Privacy & Data at Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE). As APAC Lead for its Global Privacy Programme and Singapore DPO, he advises on the full spectrum of APAC privacy, data protection, network management, data security, and communications secrecy laws and regulations applicable to the PlayStation business, and designs and implements solutions to protect millions of gamers while facilitating data-driven business innovation. 

Prior to SIE, Josh was Lead Counsel, APAC Privacy at Meta, where he focused on organisation-wide compliance with data protection laws in the ASEAN region and APAC product privacy counselling for WhatsApp. 

Josh co-authored the Singapore chapter of Privacy and Personal Data Protection Law in Asia (Bloomsbury Publishing, 1st ed., 2024) and frequently contributes to the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore’s annual PDP Digest. He is called to the Singapore Bar and is an ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
