About the IAPP

Dr. Eimhin Walsh (BA, MA, MSt, MBA, LLM, PhD) is the Information Governance Manager, Data Protection Officer and AI Compliance Officer at the National Screening Service, which delivers Irelands population health screening services for breast, bowel, and cervical cancer as well as diabetic retinopathy. He is a governance professional, with a concentration in data protection and information governance.  Formerly an academic, he is recognized as a leading expert on how healthcare research and innovation intersects with data protection and privacy regulation. He holds CIPP(E), CIPM, and FIP credentials from IAPP.
