About the IAPP

Christina Moncrief is VP, Deputy General Counsel at Therabody, where she has served as a key legal advisor since 2020, joining as the company's first in-house counsel. In her current role, she provides strategic legal and regulatory counsel across cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, commercial, engineering, product, and digital. Ms. Moncrief is also responsible for overseeing global privacy and digital compliance across the organization. Most recently, she helped bring Coach by Therabodyᴮᴱᵀᴬ—an AI-powered in-app recovery coach—to market by providing legal oversight throughout development and deployment.  

Before joining Therabody, Ms. Moncrief was Director, Assistant Counsel to Platinum Equity, where she supported the company and its portfolio companies on corporate legal matters. Prior to that, she was In-House Counsel at Lucky Brand, advising on a wide range of matters, including commercial transactions and privacy compliance.

Ms. Moncrief earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Washington. She is a member of the State Bar of California.
