Head of Sector – Cybersecurity of Critical infrastructure

For the past 6 years Boryana has been one of the driving forces for a stronger EU cybersecurity policy as a member of DG CNECT’s cybersecurity policy team in charge of delivering files such as the NIS2 Directive or the Cyber Resilience Act in its conceptual phase. Boryana is leading the work on implementation of the NIS2 Directive aiming to step up cybersecurity resilience of the European critical infrastructure and industry across many sectors. Boryana has a background as an antitrust lawyer and holds a German law degree and an LLM from the College of Europe in Bruges.
