About the IAPP

António BIASON is a Legal and Policy Officer in the Data Policy and Innovation Unit of the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT) of the European Commission. António BIASON contributed to the legislative process of the Data Act and the Data Governance Act and now supports their implementation. Prior to his current role, he acted as policy officer for digital and telecom affairs at the Permanent Representation of Portugal to the EU in the context of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU. 

António BIASON holds a bachelor's degree in politics and international relations and a master's degree in international and European law.
