About the IAPP

Rahul Gupta is a senior applied science manager at the Amazon Artificial General Intelligence team heading initiatives on Responsible AI. Since joining Amazon, he has focused on designing NLU models for scalability and speed. His recent research focuses on Responsible AI with emphasis on Generative AI models. He received his PhD from the University of Southern California and has published several articles in venues such as EMNLP, ACL, NAACL, ACM FAccT, IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing, IEEE Spoken Language Understanding Workshop, ICASSP, Interspeech, and Elsevier Computer Speech and Language journal. He is also co-inventor on over twenty-five patented/patent-pending technologies at Amazon. Rahul also co-organized the last three editions of the TrustNLP workshop.
