Ph.D. Candidate

I’m a Ph.D. candidate at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute (HCII) at Carnegie Mellon University. My research lies at the intersection of responsible AI (RAI), AI safety, algorithmic fairness, and human-AI interaction. I focus on developing tools and processes that support both AI practitioners and end users in designing and deploying safer, more responsible AI systems—particularly through AI auditing, red-teaming, and impact assessment.

My work has been recognized with honors such as the Microsoft AI & Society Fellowship, K&L Gates Presidential Fellowship, CERES Fellowship, and Best Paper Awards at the AAAI HCOMP and AIES conferences. My Ph.D. research is supported by funding from the CMU Block Center for Technology and Society, the Notre Dame-IBM Tech Ethics Lab, and a Google Research Scholar Award.

Before joining CMU, I earned my undergraduate degree in Computer Science from UC Berkeley, graduating with Highest Distinction and an EECS Research Honor.
