Amanda Ruby is a Senior Software Engineer on the Privacy Platform Engineering team at the New York Times, where she builds systems that protect the privacy of its readers. She came from the world of clinical diagnostic testing and biotechnology, where detail-orientation and proper care for data were essential.
Amanda holds a Master of Science degree in Bioinformatics and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
