About the IAPP

Grace Angkasa joined the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) in 2021. As a Senior Analyst in the Strategic Policy and International Affairs team, she researches international developments in the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors to support policy proceedings.

Grace is passionate about emerging digital trends and what regulators can learn from the approach of other jurisdictions – her recent research has focused on the international regulation of artificial intelligence, online news, online streaming services, and the use of age verification mechanisms in adult content platforms. She also works as the CRTC’s liaison with foreign regulators and governments.

Prior to joining the CRTC, Grace held several roles at Global Affairs Canada working in migration policy and cultural diplomacy.
