Cheryl Saniuk-Heinig, CIPP/E, CIPP/US
Cheryl Saniuk-Heinig, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, serves as a research and insights analyst for the International Association of Privacy Professionals where she helps develop some of the IAPP’s annual flagship reports as well as a variety of other IAPP articles and resources. Cheryl first worked for the IAPP as a legal extern during law school. Prior to returning to the IAPP, Cheryl clerked for the Honorable Andrew M. Mead, Senior Associate Justice of the Maine Supreme Court and worked in general practice litigation out of a boutique private firm in midcoast Maine. She was appointed to the Right to Know Advisory Committee for the Maine State Legislature in 2022 where she continues to serve as a resource to ensure compliance with the state’s Freedom of Access laws.
Cheryl is a graduate of Syracuse University and the University of Maine School of Law where she graduated from the law school’s Information Privacy Pathways Program.
