Dafne Mendez is an associate in the Data Privacy, Copyrights and Patents Departments of Arochi & Lindner’s Mexico office. Her practice includes litigation, counseling, contracts, and audits.



She has represented international clients in administrative proceedings before the Mexican Data Privacy Office (INAI), Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI) (IMPI), Copyright Office (INDAUTOR), the Consumers Protection Office (PROFECO), as well as the Specialized Chamber of Industrial Property (SEPI) of the Federal Administrative Law Tribunal, the Collegiate and Single-Judge Circuit Courts and the Supreme Court of Justice of Mexico.



Her experience includes working as Coordinator of Contracts and IP rights at a SM Ediciones, then as the PCT coordinator at the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI) as well as a Federal Attorney at a Single-Judge Circuit Court specialized in criminal matters.



Dafne has a Law Degree with Honors from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma of Mexico (UNAM), also has an entertainment law program in Dalhousie University and a Master in IT specialized in Digital Data Protection at the ICT Research and Innovation Center (INFOTEC). She has participated in numerous IP and Data Privacy forums. In addition, she published the article “Photographic Works on Internet: A comparison of Canadian and Mexican Laws” in the Dalhousie Law Journal.
