Robyn Chatwood
Robyn is an intellectual property and technology partner in Dentons Australia and co-head the Dentons Australia Technology and Privacy/Cybersecurity practice group in Australia and co-lead for APAC for the Technology Sector group. She has 20 years’ experience as an expert, including over seven years’ practice in Dentons London office, in technology, media and telecommunications practice.
Robyn helps companies with their global privacy compliance programs and technology implementation strategy – and assists where there is complex cross border issues including in relation to international data breach management and response.
Before Robyn was a lawyer, she had 15 years’ experience in the oil industry as a senior executive in commercial roles. Increasingly Robyn’s practice involves advising companies on artificial intelligence and her clients include multi-national corporations, large financial institutions, global payment processors, and companies undergoing digital transformations.
Robyn regularly speaks at high-profile data protection conferences – especially on issues relating to the use of biometrics and ad tech. She is the author of numerous publications in data protection and information technology topics and is listed in leading legal directories for intellectual property, technology and privacy law.
Robyn has formerly acted as co-lead for the Melbourne KnowledgeNet.
