Osman Gazi Gucluturk
Dr. Osman Gazi Gucluturk currently serves as the Legal and Regulatory Lead in Public Policy at Holistic AI. In this role, he specializes in advising on legal as well as regulatory requirements surrounding AI, particularly concerning the EU AI Act, and integrates these into the company's AI governance and assurance products. His previous positions include a Visiting Fellowship at Yale Law School's Information Society Project and an Assistant Professorship at the IT Law Department at Boğaziçi University in Turkey.
Dr. Güçlütürk holds an LL.B., an M.A., an LL.M., and an MJur degree from Galatasaray University, Ankara University, LSE, and the University of Oxford, respectively. His Ph.D. thesis on the lawful use of data in machine learning-based AI systems from Galatasaray University was selected as the Best Doctoral Thesis of the Year by the Turkish Council of Higher Education in 2022.
An active member of the legal community, Dr. Gucluturk holds roles in several committees, including UNIDROIT's Steering Committee on Digital Assets and Private Law, the Council of Europe's Committee on Artificial Intelligence, and the Joint Technical Committee 21 on Artificial Intelligence at CEN/CENELEC, as well as ISO/IEC's sub-committee 42 on Artificial Intelligence.
