Clarissa Luz
With over 20 years of expertise, Clarissa advises companies on complex tech law and data governance issues, including negotiations, litigations, and international commercial arbitrations, within top-tier law firms in Brazil, currently a partner at Manassero Advogados. Specialized in Tech Law & Privacy from the University of California, Berkeley, Clarissa also holds a Diploma in International Private Law from The Hague University, The Netherlands. Executive Director at Berkeley Global Society; Arbitrator and Mediator at the Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property (ABPI); Coordinator of the tech and privacy study group at the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr), she also acted by invitation of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) as their international judge for invested social impact tech entrepreneurs (Washington/DC and Miami, USA). Clarissa has authored several academic articles on data monetization, data ownership rights, reidentification risks assessment for anonymized data, ADRs on tech and data-related disputes, etc. She is a professor invited by universities and an international public speaker (Paris and Silicon Valley) on the interconnection between technology (especially artificial intelligence), privacy, and data protection.
