Associate Professor of Law; Deputy Director, Centre for AI and Data Governance

Assoc Prof Warren Chik is a faculty with the Yong Pung How School of Law, SMU. He is also deputy director of the Centre for AI and Data Governance. Warren's research and teaching interests span the diverse topics in the Information Technology realm. This includes the law and ethics of Artificial Intelligence Use, Privacy and Personal Data Protection, Internet Intermediaries, Internet crime and cybersecurity, Online torts, electronic commerce and content regulation. Warren is the co-author of the first treatise on Information and Communications Technology Law in Singapore (with Assoc Prof Saw Cheng Lim) in 2020, bringing together in one volume a variety of topics on the law regulating the use of infocomm technology. He also contributed the Chapter on ICT and Singapore Law in the compilation, Law and Technology in Singapore (2021 Phang, Chesterman, Goh ed.).
