Kelly Peterson Miranda, CIPP/E, CIPM, FIP
Kelly Peterson Miranda is the Chief Privacy Officer for Grindr. In this current role, Kelly establishes the compliance vision and strategy for the company’s global privacy program. She collaborates cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders such as data science, product, revenue, and engineering to ensure adherence to Grindr’s data governance framework. Her team conducts privacy by design reviews and third-party vendor reviews and also reviews and implements controls for adherence to new privacy laws and privacy-adjacent regulations such as the Digital Services Act. During her time at Grindr Kelly has served as the Deputy Security Officer under a National Security Agreement with the United States government, helped the company go public in 2022, and liaised with numerous trade organizations and domestic and international regulators on Grindr’s behalf.
Prior to joining Grindr, Kelly led EU Regulatory Compliance for Amazon Advertising and also launched the GDPR compliance program for a FinTech company that was the subsidiary of a Fortune 100 company. Kelly values diversity and collaboration and seeks opportunities to promote both in the field of privacy. Kelly holds a Masters and an Educational Specialist degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Bachelor's degree in English. She has also obtained the CIPP/E, CIPM, FIP, and CDPSE certifications.
