Corporate Access and Privacy Officer

Denise started her career in the field of access to information as an Archivist in New Brunswick before moving to Manitoba. She holds a Master of Arts from Concordia University in Montreal, QC, and a Master of Information Studies from the University of Toronto.  

Since 2016, Denise has worked in the City of Winnipeg's Access and Privacy Office. She is driven by her commitment to enhancing public trust and accountability through access to information and privacy rights. Denise is noted for approaching challenges with a collaborative, people-centred strategy, leveraging her extensive expertise in the public sector.  

As the Corporate Access and Privacy Officer for the City of Winnipeg, Denise oversees the strategic direction for access to information and protection of privacy matters. This role is critical in shaping a transparent and accountable government framework, reinforcing the City of Winnipeg's commitment to its citizens, and finding the balance between openness and the preservation of privacy rights.
