Marc Stauch; Dr. jur. (Göttingen), M.A. (Oxon.) gained his legal training in the UK, qualifying as a Solicitor, before lecturing law for several years at English Universities. After a period lecturing at the Humboldt Universität Berlin, he took up the post of a research associate at the Institute for Legal Informatics at the Leibniz Universität in 2010. A principal focus of his work is data protection law, particularly in the context of EU bioinformatics projects. In addition to numerous journal articles, he is the author of two books: “Medical Negligence Law in England and Germany: A Comparative Analysis” (Hart Publishing, Oxford: 2008), and (with K. Wheat) “Text, Cases and Materials on Medical Law and Ethics” (Routledge Publishing, Abingdon: 6th edition forthcoming 2018).
