About the IAPP

Pal is a senior privacy lawyer at BT, based in London. He advises on all aspects of privacy and data protection, including drafting and negotiating data processing and sharing agreements, international data transfers, privacy impact assessments, marketing projects, Big Data, cloud computing, employee privacy and security. He advises on BT’s GDPR-compliance program, the implications of Brexit for data protection and contributes to the work of industry associations.



Pal is a registered European lawyer in England and Wales, qualified and admitted to the Bar in Budapest, Hungary in 2003. He obtained an LL.M. degree in German Law from the Ludwig-Maximilians University (Munich, Germany) in 2002.



Pal joined BT in 2005 and had other legal roles (commercial, corporate) at BT’s Global Services operations. Prior to joining BT, he worked five years in private practice in Hungary (at local TMT/IP boutique firms and CHSH, an Austrian law firm), in Germany (at PwC Veltins) and advised clients on corporate/M&A, IP/IT and data protection.

He graduated from the joint executive MBA program of Kellogg School of Management (USA) and WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management (Germany) in 2014.
