About the IAPP

Luis Fernando Prado Chaves, CIPP/E, is a partner heading the IT, Privacy and Data Protection practices at Daniel Law. LLM in digital law and information society at the University of Barcelona. Postgraduate in intellectual property and new business at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV DIREITO SP). Visiting professor of the data protection officer course at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV DIREITO RIO). Co-author of the books “Comments to the GDPR” and “LGPD Commented” (Thomson Reuters/Revista dos Tribunais). He was a visiting researcher of the Law and Innovation Research Group (LIRG – FGV DIREITO SP), where he participated in the contributions to the draft law on data protection (Ministry of Justice), which resulted in the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law).
