About the IAPP

Niya McCray concentrates her practice on privacy and cybersecurity law, advising businesses in many industry sectors on compliance with legal, regulatory and contractual privacy obligations, data protection requirements and cybersecurity incident preparedness and response.

As an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional, Niya has extensive experience advising businesses on best practices and compliance standards for international, federal and state data privacy and data transfer requirements including the GDPR, CCPA and biometric privacy laws. She has also counselled clients on data and systems protection under NIST, DFARS, and state data breach notification statutes. She has advised parties in corporate transactions on due diligence, and contractual representations and warranties. Niya also drafts and negotiates privacy and data protection provisions of service contracts.
