Tim de Sousa, AIGP, CIPP/E, CIPM, FIP
Tim de Sousa is a strategic and operational privacy expert with a focus on emerging technologies. Tim has held senior privacy and digital transformation roles with Westpac, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, the NSW Government Department of Customer Service, and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
In 2019, Tim established the NSW Government Policy Lab, Australia’s first whole-of-government human-centered policy design lab. He was listed in the Apolitical/World Economic Forum’s ‘Agile 50’ as one of the world’s ‘50 most influential people revolutionizing government’ in 2020 for his work in multi-disciplinary digital transformation and Rules as Code.
Tim is currently a Senior Director with FTI Consulting, working with some of Australia’s leading brands to build privacy and information governance capability, manage risk, and achieve effective digital transformation, and is a member of IAPP’s ANZ advisory board.
