Frédérique Horwood, AIGP, CIPP/E, CIPT

Frédérique is Senior Privacy and Data Protection Counsel at Cohere, a leading foundation model enterprise AI company.
Prior to Cohere, Frédérique led the privacy function at the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), protecting athlete privacy as a central tenet of the broader fight for clean sport, and practised privacy and data management law at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. She is a member of the Quebec Bar and holds two law degrees from McGill University (civil and common law) as well as a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Modern Languages from the University of Ottawa. She is a member of the IAPP AI Governance Center Board.
