Data Protection Manager

Damien Sainte-Cluque is a Compliance and Ethics Counsel Manager, specialist on Data Privacy matters in London. He joined Accenture and started in the Governance and Policy Tower of the Global Data Privacy Team before moving to the Strategic Initiatives Tower, where he is managing Merger and Acquisitions from a Data Privacy point of view.

Damien has gained over the years particular expertise in international data transfers, BCR, negotiation of data protection provisions with third parties as well as developing training for employees on data protection matters. His time spent bringing into compliance technology start-ups acquired by bigger global organizations gave him the opportunity to provide advice on how to manage strategically their privacy and security risks, as well as designing and implementing privacy programs at group level. He was especially involved in developing compliance programs for the GDPR and currently for the CCPA.

Before joining Accenture, Damien was working as a commercial corporate counsel for many years in the IT and Telco industry, for multinational organizations, and advised senior leadership on transactions involving information technology, including technology acquisitions, licensing, outsourcing and service-provider arrangements, communication with regulators as well as general corporate commercial issues with respect to carrying on business in the electronic environment.
