Martín Pesce Cutri is a partner and leads the FERRERE New Technologies and Data Protection regional team. He teaches Information Technology Law I, and Information Technology II, at the Law School of Universidad de la República (Uruguay).



He participates frequently in academic events and as speaker in Uruguay and abroad. He is the author of numerous specialized articles for national and international publications. .



Martin is currently co-chair for Uruguay of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and Uruguayan representative to the Latin American Privacy Association. Pesce Cutri is frequently invited by the local Data Protection Regulator to speak on data protection at events and conferences organized by the latter. As an advisor to many of the main clients in the field in Uruguay, he has a fluid relationship with the local regulator being considered a reference in the field



He has extensive experience, regularly advising its clients on the implementations of programs and projects involving the use of new technologies. Since the implementation of the Personal Data Protection and Habeas Data Act in 2008 (Act No. 18.331), He has come up with cutting edge solutions for the Firm’s clients, to enable the latter to encompass technological progress being at all times in compliance with the data privacy regulation. 



Martin has also advised the Uruguayan Government on processes for adjusting to the new regulatory framework on personal data protection, cybersecurity and access to public information.
