About the IAPP

Brad is a Specialist Master and Certified Privacy Professional (CIPM) (CIPP/US) (FIP) in the Deloitte US commercial practice, who has served as a Global Manager (serving as the Data Protection Officer for the Tax business line and Lead for Quality Assurance), a Privacy Lead on a Government & Public Sector (GPS) projects, a Privacy Subject Matter Expert on GPS and commercial projects, and as a Manager/Sr. Manager on other commercial projects for many of the firm’s high profile clients. Due to his deep knowledge of privacy and proven track record, Brad gets brought into much of the PRD work on projects that have a privacy component or projects that have the opportunity to add privacy work to enhance our value.

Brad has committed additional time to participate in the continuing development of the NIST Privacy Framework that was published in January 2020, Global Eminence projects, and experiential training with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the Practising Law Institute (PLI). In 2020, Brad was appointed to the IAPP Privacy Bar Section Advisory Board and is currently serving in his third term in this role.

Prior to joining the firm, Brad was a law clerk, security manager, and former U.S. Marine with over 20 years of domestic and international leadership experience with Fortune 50 companies, small businesses, and military operations.

Additionally, Brad is an attorney admitted to the Bar in the State of Connecticut, an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), and a certified Program/Project Manager. He has worked with Department of Defense, Department of State, Department of Homeland Security, all branches of the military, and private corporations, in international, domestic, and high-threat environments.

Brad has a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Rhode Island, is a Certificated Project Manager from Villanova University, and received his Juris Doctor at Quinnipiac University School of Law.
