About the IAPP

Sylvie de Oliveira is the Group Data Privacy Officer for L’Oréal, where she is in charge of developing, implementing and supervising the global data privacy compliance program across all L’Oréal brands and métiers. Sylvie is a qualified lawyer who has solid experience in data privacy law including in IT & Digital legal matters, for which she also oversees the legal risks also acting as Group IT & Digital General Counsel in L’Oréal. 

Prior to join L’Oréal in 2014, Sylvie was an Attorney at law at the Paris Bar for more than twelve years during which she acquired an extensive experience in different international law firms (Bird & Bird – Freshfields) before being the Head of the IP/IT/Data Privacy practice of a boutique law firm. 

Her solid field expertise as data privacy professional allows her to have a deep knowledge and practice in managing data privacy issues, particularly in relation to the privacy impact of digital transformation and emerging technologies, and to coordinate the global data privacy network within the L’Oréal Group.
