Senior Legal Counsel - Privacy

Vivian Byrwa is the first U.S.-based privacy counsel at Spotify, the world’s most popular audio streaming subscription service. She is responsible for helping develop and maintain Spotify’s global privacy program, and ensure that Spotify has a practical and cohesive global compliance approach that takes into account existing U.S. laws and can navigate future regulatory developments worldwide. Vivian has almost a decade of experience in the privacy, technology, digital media space. While she has advised on all matters related to data protection globally throughout her career, her particular emphasis includes advertising, marketing, and technology licensing.

Vivian received her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan (GO BLUE!) and law degree from Fordham University School of Law. She is particularly interested in matters relating to data ethics, data governance, children's data, and artificial intelligence.
