About the IAPP

Veronica Torres serves as the Chief Privacy Officer at Comscore, a global cross-platform audience measurement leader helping businesses make informed decisions in complex media environments. She leads Comscore’s global privacy and data protection strategy by working with stakeholders across business functions. Prior to joining Comscore, Veronica counseled companies on the development and implementation of global privacy programs. She also has experience overseeing the use of social media, mobile applications, and third-party digital technologies by federal law enforcement agencies, developing role-based privacy training, and working on a wide array of issues with technology-based start-ups. 

In addition to the IAPP Women Leading Privacy Advisory Board Member position, she currently sits on ESOMAR’s Legal Affairs Committee. Veronica earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and B.A. in Political Science from American University. She maintains the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) certification and the Certified Information Privacy Professional/Government (CIPP/G). She welcomes engagement and questions on privacy and her Wilks score.
