About the IAPP

Kate M. Growley (CIPP/US, CIPP/G) is a director in Crowell & Moring International, based in Hong Kong. Drawing from over a decade of experience as a previously practicing attorney in the United States, Kate now helps her clients navigate and shape the global policy environment for some of the most complex data and technology issues facing multinational companies, including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, privacy, and digital transformation. She is a Registered Practitioner with the U.S. Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Cyber AB. In her prior role as an attorney, Kate was a leading member of Crowell & Moring LLP’s Privacy and Cybersecurity Group. She was internationally recognized by Chambers and named a “Rising Star” by Law360 and the American Bar Association (ABA). Kate previously served as co-chair of both the Cybersecurity, Privacy & Emerging Technology Committee in the ABA Public Contract Law Section and the Homeland Security Committee in the ABA Science & Technology Section.
