Lori Sutherland graduated from York University earning an undergraduate degree in Philosophy (Business Ethics) and has completed various Post Graduate Certificate Programs in the areas of E-Commerce Programming, Human Resources Management, Health Law, Supply Chain/Logistics and Information Access and Protection of Privacy.  An avid learner, Lori continues to broaden her scope of Professional Development in the areas of Philosophy & Ethics of Mental Health, Risk Management, Conflict Resolution, Privacy by Design and Agile Project Management.



With over 10 years of Privacy and Information Management experience in the healthcare industry, and more recently as an Organizational Ombudsman, Lori has developed strong leadership capabilities and a solid foundation in privacy, information management, conflict resolution and the fair treatment of customers.  She provides strong privacy leadership and subject matter expertise to CANet, in addition to being driven to achieve positive change, and her ability to identify systemic process improvement opportunities.  Lori is a comprehensive thinker with exceptional ability to communicate, negotiate and build relationships, and has a talent for expressing and communicating with others while putting people at ease.
