About the IAPP

Mike Warnecke is ESA’s Chief Counsel, Tech Policy. Prior to joining ESA in 2007, Mike worked as a journalist for BNA, where he covered tech policy legislation and regulatory developments. Before that, he was in private practice at a mid-sized IP law firm in Chicago. He earned his JD from George Washington Univ. Law School and his B.A. from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign).
