Gail Obrycki
Gail Obrycki is CIPP/US and HIPAA certified. She has 30+ years of experience in the Healthcare industry working for Johnson & Johnson, Merck and Schering Plough. Ten of those years have been in Privacy, being part of the companies' Global Privacy Office building their Privacy programs. Her area of expertise is in writing Privacy policies, guidance and tools, and in privacy training development. She also was responsible for providing relevant privacy guidance and support to different functional areas within the businesses such as Clinical Research, Sales and Marketing, and HR, also in HIPAA requirements, Safe Harbor certification due diligence, Incident Management and Inspection readiness. She also has experience in conducting Privacy Impact Assessments and Risk Analyses. And she has promoted Privacy by teaching at local colleges.
Gail has an MS degree in Medical Technology and spent the early part of her Healthcare career in the pre-clinical drug development space working on cures for Hepatitis, HIV and Parkinson's disease, and in clinical research, conducting clinical trials and overseeing compliance in Allergy, Dermatology, Oncology and Infectious Disease. Her significant contributions have resulted in various drug approvals for allergies, asthma, and viral and fungal infections.
