Karishma advises on a broad range of technology and commercial matters, including in relation to corporate transactions such as M&A. Her practice has a particular focus on data and on the emerging legal issues associated with digital transformation. In this context she advises companies on data ethics, Artificial Intelligence, adtech, social listening, cookies, profiling, IoT, blockchain and big data. Karishma also advises on complex data-sharing arrangements, the use of data in the provision of consumer and business products and on data protection compliance projects, as well as on intellectual property and commercial aspects of corporate transactions.

Beyond the technology sector, where many of her clients sit, Karishma works with clients from a wide range of industries and has particular experience of connected and autonomous vehicles, digital health and fintech.

Karishma has been appointed as a Co-Chair of the Privacy and Data Protection Group Committee of the Society for Computers and Law, and regularly speaks at conferences on key data protection and digital issues. She has also written a number of articles in these areas, including on data ethics in a business environment and privacy in adtech.
