About the IAPP

Justine Young Gottshall has extensive experience counseling clients on privacy, data security, technology (including AI), information governance, consumer protection, and digital marketing and advertising issues. She works closely with clients as they prepare for, and implement, a multitude of new privacy legislation in the very active and ever-changing privacy law landscape. Justine is relied upon to implement internal processes and procedures and to build solutions that offer not just compliance, but also efficiency and business practicality. She has deep knowledge of online advertising, internal compliance policies, consumer policies, including web site policies, vendor management, and advises on privacy and security-related compliance strategies and programs. She also works closely with clients on technology matters, including artificial intelligence (AI), e-commerce, software licensing and “privacy by design” in the creation and launch of new products and services.

Gottshall has served both on the IAPP Education Advisory Board and as the Chicago KnowledgeNet co-chair. She has been recognized by Chambers USA as a leader in the field nationally for her work in the area of privacy and data security.
