About the IAPP

Paula Vargas is a lawyer specialized in Law & Technology, particularly focused on privacy, data protection and IP. She is a partner at MARyVA Law Firm and also works as a consultant on regulatory affairs for OTT companies. She earned a Masters in Law Degree at Berkeley University School of Law and a Master Degree on Data Protection at University of San Pablo CEU, Madrid.



Paula is certified as a specialist on Information Privacy Management (CIPM). She is currently acting as IAPP´s co-chair for Argentina´s chapter. Paula Vargas is a law professor; she is the Academic Coordinator of the Center for Technology and Society and of the Internet Law & ICTs Program, both at University of San Andrés. She also teaches "Technology Business" at University of Buenos Aires. Paula has written several papers and articles and has been a speaker at seminars and conferences on its field of expertise.
