Julia Kaufmann, CIPP/E
Julia Kaufmann is a partner in the Munich office of Osborne Clarke and member of the Global Data Privacy and Security Service Line of Osborne Clarke. Julia advises both national and international companies on all legal matters relating to information technology, privacy and data protection, ecommerce, marketing and internet law. She focuses on the industry sectors Technology, Media and Communications as well as Life Sciences & Healthcare.
Julia has strong expertise with multi-jurisdictional privacy and data protection as well as ecommerce compliance projects. She assists multinational companies with a wide range of data protection law issues, in particular development and implementation of comprehensive data protection compliance programs, product-related privacy by design issues, implementation of HR- and security-tolls, cross-border data transfer mechanisms, e-health and m-health projects, inquiries by data protection supervisory authorities, enforcement actions brought by data subjects, security breach handling and high-risk processing activities requiring a data protection impact assessment.
In 2022, Julia has been named one of only three German women in the second edition of Women in Data by Global Data Review. Women in Data is a global award that recognizes women at the forefront of legislation, regulation and technology in the area of data protection.
